Dallas Arts District Summer Staycation

Looking for something exciting to do this summer? Look no further than Trammell Crow Center’s very own neighborhood!

 

According to a new study from personal finance website WalletHub, DFW is one of the top 5 best summer travel destinations of 2019! The Travel Destination report, considered the 100 largest U.S. metro areas, accounting for affordability, attractions, and overall convenience.

 

Between our favorite arts and museum hotspots (which, of course, includes the newly redesigned and renovated Trammell Crow Center) and the unbeatable restaurant scene, Dallas Arts District has got it going on this summer! So whether you’re on your way out of the office just for lunch or for a long weekend there are so many exciting events and entertainment options that you’ll want to give a visit before the summer is over.

The can’t-miss fashion exhibition at the Dallas Museum of Art, Dior: From Paris to the World

 

Open now through September 1st, this exhibition profiles couturier Christian Dior’s legacy, as well as that of subsequent artistic directors for the House of Dior, through a selection of dresses, accessories, and archival material.

‘Til Midnight at the Nasher: a monthly free concert and film screening in the beautiful Nasher Sculpture Garden

 

Enjoy a free concert and film at the Nasher Sculpture Center every third Friday of every month from 6:00 pm - 12:00 am. Guests to ‘Til Midnight at the Nasher also have the option to explore the museum free of charge, join tours, and participate in a variety of activities throughout the evening of the event. If you happen to get hungry, The Nasher Cafe offers a special menu with full bar service and movie snacks continuing until midnight.

The innovative and vibrant art exhibition at The Nasher Sculpture Center, Sheila Hicks: Seize, Weave Space

 

Experience Sheila Hicks’ South American-inspired woven constructs at The Nasher Sculpture Center now through August 18th. Hicks utilizes intensely hued fiber to create structures and objects that give material form to color, offering an intriguing perspective on art.
