Be prepared for your tastebuds to explode - authentic Italian dining is coming to an office near you. Trammell Crow Center is thrilled to announce the newest restaurant joining its recent expansion. 400 Gradi, a Neapolitan-style pizzeria that originated in Australia, will be opening its first U.S. location at Trammell Crow Center.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
400 Gradi Founder Johnny Di Francesco grew a passion for traditional Italian food early on in life. At the age of 12, he began working part-time at a pizzeria with the goal of buying himself sneakers that his family could not afford. Years passed as Johnny moved up the ranks and his undeniable love for the food had him hooked.
Although Johnny received his degree in engineering, he couldn’t help but find himself thinking about the pizza shop during his school lectures. In class one day, he gathered his things, excused himself, and never returned. Johnny’s life as a restaurateur had begun. Heading to Italy to train in traditional techniques and methods, Johnny returned to Melbourne determined to introduce the food of Naples to his homeland.
In 2008, 400 Gradi’s first location opened in Melbourne, with its name referring to the high temperature called for by Neapolitan pizza experts. 400 Gradi restaurants excel not only in serving up heavenly flare, but also in offering the warmth and hospitality that Italians are known and loved for.
BRINGING THE HEAT TO TRAMMELL CROW CENTER
Trammell Crow Center is nearly ready for it’s big re-unveiling of a sweeping $140 million renovation project.
“We are excited because we are getting close to the end,” says Stream Realty Partners’ Managing Director Ramsey March, giving a tour of the building. “The response from the market has already been strong. We have more prospects and proposals than the space we have left.”
The Ross Avenue building, often shortened to TCC, is owned by J.P. Morgan Asset Management and is developed, managed, and leased by Stream Realty Partners and will include ground retail space, a tenant lounge, a new conference center, a larger gym, and an updated lobby.
Earlier this year, 400 Gradi founder Johnny Di Franceso visited Dallas to scope out the location, later confirming that the outpost would open early 2019. The introduction of the Neapolitan-style pizzeria will bring a more diversified food option to Trammell Crow Center which is sure to bring the heat.
