The trend for office, retail, and entertainment all merging into one destination is a popular plan in urban areas. As a way to bring new life to downtown Dallas and create a walkable district for professionals, visitors, and locals to enjoy, Trammell Crow Center has begun renovations aimed at transforming the Dallas Arts District into a day-to-night destination.

If you’ve seen the construction banners along Ross Avenue at Olive and Harwood, the renovations coming to Trammell Crow Center and the under-development project called 2000 Ross, are on their way to transforming the Dallas Arts District. With high demand sweeping the floors off TCC, many employers looking to stay competitive have moved their offices to the building in anticipation of the upcoming renovations.

 

A few amenities Trammell Crow Center tenants can look forward to in 2018 include:

 

• 3:1,000 parking

• Fully modernized elevators

• New 34,000 SF of patio-friendly retail

• New 9,000 SF conference center

• New 9,000 SF athletic club

• Expansive green space with inviting outdoor gathering spaces

 

These updates are designed to give TCC tenants an enjoyable experience before, during, and after their workday. Health and fitness remain a top priority, meaning state-of-the-art upgrades to the gym for convenient daytime fitness. Expanding the entrance into an open, glass entryway allows more light into the lobby and a better connection between the sidewalk and the building. Cascading green steps will create gorgeous outdoor scenery covered by shading trees making it perfect for taking a lunchtime breather.

 

The building that once said "stay out", will now say "come in", with its mission to open the office building to the Ross neighborhood. Adding an urban market on Harwood is in the plans, in addition to a full-service restaurant on Olive.

2000 Ross is putting the Arts District in the spotlight where it belongs.

 

The mixed-use destination coming to Ross will transform the Arts District and revitalize the downtown area after the workday ends. A few amenities Dallasites can look forward to include:

 

• A full city block (or roughly 2.6 acres) of new mixed-use space

• 26,000 SF of ground floor retail

• A 9-level parking garage with 2,000 spaces

• A 200 key upscale-lifestyle boutique hotel

• 400 units in their high-rise residential tower

 

By adding space for retail and dining, 2000 Ross gives the Arts District an opportunity to transform the downtown corridor into a thriving day and night destination. Just blocks away from Klyde Warren Park, the Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Center, and various music performance halls, 2000 Ross will become the new hub surrounding this cultural hotspot. Improved walkability will attract visitors to stay longer in the Dallas Arts District and reinvent the area for late night dining, residential living, and a boutique hotel experience.
